Sierras de Cazorla is a national park in the province of Jaén, about a 2 hour drive from Jaén Capital. I visited with some friends in early November and we had the place to ourselves. It is up in the mountains and in the winter it snows so it was pretty cold when we went but we were able to hike for a few hours without getting frozen. A few days after our trip, it snowed a ton! We just missed it.. The hike we did is alongside a river that has crystal clear water and plants and trees blooming everywhere. The leaves were turning red and yellow but a lot was still green. It felt like an enchanted forest
A few photos from the drive in. The drive into Cazorla is something that I didn't even attempt to capture and the beauty is beyond describable. You have to see it for yourself! :)
We met some goats who wanted our snacks
A cozy bar we found to have some tapas and drinks and warm up in after our big hike! There are some amazing hotels in Cazorla that I would love to go back and stay at. It is such a special place that I definitely recommend visiting, as the photos really do not do its beauty enough justice! One of the many hidden gems in Spain.
