About Me
Hi! I’m Taylor! Nice to meet you. Here’s a little bit about me: I’m a California-native living in Spain, and a woman of many, many interests. As I share my world with you in this space, you’ll discover my musings on everything from different cities I visit, great bites and booze, metal-smithing and gem-hunting for my jewelry brand, and everything in between. Traveling the world, meeting people, and trying new things is the heartbeat of my existence in this world, and spills into all parts of my life. So here, I hope to share those parts with you — my friends and family and anyone else who happens to stop by. About a year and a half ago I learned about the Conversación de Auxiliares program in Spain. It is a program that allows people from native English speaking countries to live in Spain on a student visa and teach English. The program runs from about October-May and is available in most regions. You choose your top three regions and they randomly place you in a city in one of the regions of your choice. I chose Andalucia and I ended up being placed at a school in a tiny pueblo (village) about an hour north of Granada, called Bailen. I lived in a bigger(ish) city called Jaén that is 30 minutes away from my school. This upcoming school year I will be living in Granada. Moving to Spain was the best decision I could have made at this point in my life. I have been able to travel throughout Europe, meet amazing people, try authentic and delicious food and wine, and the personal growth I have experienced is unmeasurable. I am excited to share my experiences with you!
